Prototypes In For The Learning CirKit (06/27/2013)
We've got the first batch of prototypes in—check them out below! These will definitely change on the next rev, but only slightly by changing the magnetic connectors. Originally, we were going to glue down magnets. However, this was very limiting. Now, we are in the process of getting custom-made brass connectors to hold the magnets. The upfront cost is quite steep, so we will try to get our funds through Kickstarter. Once we get everything settled and finalized, we will post more details. You can go to Products → The Learning CirKit for more information on the kit.
Figure 1. First Rev Of Our Multimeter (Bare PCB with LCD)
Above is our multimeter, which will be essential to both learning the basic concepts, as well as verifying your design. The probes will have magnetic ends so they can easily be used to check various parts of your circuit. We put it next to a penny so you can see how small and compact it is unlike standard multimeters.
Figure 2. First Rev Of Our Resistor and LED Components (Bare PCBs)
Here we have the resistor and LED components. Again we've put it next to a penny for size reference. Notice how the silkscreen is designed so that the physical circuit will visually look like a regular schematic/circuit diagram.
